Thank you everyone!! I am using a 1999 Gammill Classic, no bells or
whistles.. I have found that it is easier for me to “drive” one handed.

Thank you for showing us a good long sample of quilting, watching you
repeating the pattern helps us so much more than just seeing it once or
    twice. A big thank you

  • Lana Dean says:

Wow!!! I just found this free motion tutorial. What make of machine are you
using that you only need on hand on the handle. What control you have.

Thank you for providing a video long enough for me to get the feel of the
spacing, how you work across the quilt and then return. I love the feel of
this quilt, and a large part of that is the density of the quilting.

Great technical tip about the feed dogs not moving back and forth if your
dial up a zero stitch length, thereby maintaining a mechanical rhythm .
    Thanks Leah.

  • Lorraine Leblanc says:

I have tried the leave your feed dogs up and I couldn’t believe the
difference it made..i also use the slider and the gloves…..I bought the
bobbin washers and forgot to put them in, but they are going in
tonight…thanks Leah for all those tips…I enjoy your tutorials a lot..

    Hi Leah
First of all, thank you so much for your amazing talent and willingness to
    share it.
Secondly, I have a question regarding the darning or fmq foot, would you be
able to do this without any foot at all attached to your machine?
You did say that the darning foot just hovers above the fabric, hence my
    question.
I look forward to your reply, many thanks again.
