I am so confused! (Loom Knitting)?

Question by Kourtney: I am so confused! (Loom Knitting)?
i bought a book with loom knitting patterns and a set of long looms (the rectangular ones). In the set of looms, it says that you can do double, single or circular knitting on them, i have a pattern that doesnt specify single or double, and i dont know which one i am supposed to do. Then it says k1, k3, sl1. Does k1 mean knit one stitch? knit 1 row? im so confused! it does say in the help section what it means, it just says it means knit… But it says Row 1 before that… >.< And i was also wondering how i make the edges rounded on a baby blanket if i am doing all knit for the whole blanket, just one big knit square, how do i make the edges rounded? How do i decrease? Best answer:

kl,k3 sl1 means
knit 1stitch, knit 3 slip 1. if you just knit back and forth one sided or double knit you will get a rectangle. you have to make decreases at the ends to shape the ends.
