Question by ZzZzZz: How to sew jacket/sweatshirt? ?
I would love to make my mom and brother a jacket and sweatshirt. I’m new to sewing so where would I begin?
What are the basics when starting to sew a clothing item? So I make the inside first or see the inside and outside together? Any help is well appreciated! Also what is the difference Btwn cotton and polyester fabric? Is one better to use?

If you are new to sewing then you should look for patterns that come with tutorials. There are many wonderful pattern designers on www.etsy.com that sell PDF patterns that come with full picture tutorials. When you go to Etsy, go to the pattern section on the left and then search for “women’s jacket sewing pattern” and see what comes up.
