The bobbins are relativly flat, the top side is bigger than the bottom side.

Hi,
I think these are the wind-in-place bobbins. If I remember correctly, you just thread the top of the machine and run it, and it threads the bobbin. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen one of these machines, so you may have to experiment a little. Hope this helps!
