I bought 2 1/2 yards of fabric today, then changed my mind and bought another type. So I have 2 1/2 yards of fabric that I would like to try to make some men’s clothing with. I’ve already made ties, because that was the easiest. But on the internet there really is a lot of limitation to men’s patterns. I don’t care it doesn’t have to be a men’s specific pattern, I can always alter. My real question is does anyone have any ideas of what to sew for men? I would like to get a hand at making some men’s things. With women & kids it’s endless. Shirts, bags, embroidered things, quilts. I just want to know if anyone has any manlier suggestions. That would be of great help to me, thanks!

There are lots of things to make for men besides clothes–how about a laptop or tablet cover or a custom made toiletry travel bag. A flannel plastic tablecloth makes a good liner and you can sew elastic across to hold things. I’ve made a few of these. How about an armchair caddy to hold the remote and other things he might want in his favorite seat.
